Kuwait revokes citizenship of 57 people, including dependents

Two decrees published in the official gazette Kuwait Alyawm today announced the revocation of Kuwaiti citizenship from a total of 57 people.

The first decree ordered the revocation of citizenship from one individual, while the second decree stipulated the withdrawal of citizenship from 56 others, including those who had acquired nationality through dependency on the original recipients, reports Al-Rai daily.

No further details were provided as to why the action has been taken.
