Kuwait restores water supply after repairing main line in Maidan Hawally

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced the successful repair and operation of a main fresh water pipeline in the Maidan Hawally area after it was damaged on Friday due to a sudden technical malfunction.

Spokesperson for the ministry, engineer Fatima Jawhar Hayat, said technical teams completed the repair work and began restoring water flow to the network.

Hayat explained that the ministry has started pumping water into the distribution system and is gradually restoring supply to areas affected by the temporary shortage, Al-Rai daily reports.

She noted that water service is expected to return to normal within the next few hours in both Maidan Hawally and Salmiya.

The spokesperson thanked the ministry’s technical teams for their efforts in completing the repair work efficiently.

She also thanked residents and consumers for their cooperation and understanding during the disruption while maintenance operations were carried out.
