Kuwait Red Crescent Society organizes breast cancer awareness campaign
‘Your Awareness Now... Your Safety Tomorrow’

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has launched an awareness campaign titled “Your Awareness Now… Your Safety Tomorrow” in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aiming to enhance women’s health awareness and emphasize the importance of regular early screening.
Chairman of the KRCS Board of Directors, Khaled Al-Mughamis, stated to KUNA that October serves as an important annual occasion to highlight breast cancer through education, prevention, and early detection—key measures that significantly improve recovery rates.
Al-Mughamis affirmed that the KRCS remains committed to supporting health and social initiatives that serve the community and align with its humanitarian mission, reinforcing its partnership role in promoting public health and well-being across society.
The campaign, launched at The Avenues Mall, features an awareness exhibition organized with the participation of the association’s volunteers. The exhibition provides visitors with information on the significance of early screening and self-examination methods, while also distributing educational brochures to help raise health awareness among women.
Al-Mughamis expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Health’s medical teams, the association’s volunteers and staff, and The Avenues Mall management for their collaboration in ensuring the success of the campaign.
He emphasized that achieving a healthy and safe society requires joint efforts from government institutions and civil society organizations to promote a culture of preventive health awareness and proactive screening.
