Kuwait recalls five ‘Anker’ charger models over fire risk

Following the lead of the Saudi Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has recalled five models of the ‘Anker’ mobile chargers due to concerns about potential overheating of lithium batteries, which could pose a fire risk and cause plastic components to melt.
The ministry’s announcement was prompted by actions taken by the company regarding this issue. Customers who purchased these specific chargers are urged to stop using them, as reported by Al Rai newspaper.
The ministry has decided to recall specific models of mobile chargers and magnetic batteries for the Anker brand, urging consumers to stop using the products and store them in a safe place.
It also emphasized the importance of verifying the serial number on the manufacturer’s website to facilitate the return of the products and obtain a refund for the purchase amount.
