Kuwait Radio makes strong presence at International Book Fair 2025

Dr. Yousef Al-Sari’, Director-General of the General Administration of Radio at the Ministry of Information, said on Friday that Kuwait Radio’s prominent presence at the Kuwait International Book Fair 2025 reflects strong coordination between program teams and outside broadcasting units.

This cooperation, he said, enabled exceptional coverage throughout the duration of the fair.

Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Dr. Al-Sari’ noted that the radio provided extensive, continuous coverage across its five stations through live broadcasts supported by preparation, directing, and presentation teams.

Fourteen morning and evening programs — both daily and weekly — were dedicated to bringing listeners a vivid and direct view of the fair’s atmosphere and activities.

He added that more than 65 guests were featured during the coverage, including writers, intellectuals, novelists, and publishers from Kuwait, the Gulf, and across the Arab world.

Their participation helped shed light on new publications, creative projects, and the dynamic cultural movement showcased at the fair.

Dr. Al-Sari’ praised the vital role of the outside broadcasting team within the radio engineering sector, emphasizing their technical and logistical support through mobile studios and modern broadcasting technologies that ensured high-quality transmission.

Their presence on the ground, he noted, was instrumental to the success of the coverage and strengthened the radio’s engagement with this key cultural event.

He reaffirmed that Kuwait Radio will continue to support national and cultural activities and maintain a strong presence among the public, in line with its media mission and its pioneering role in promoting culture and serving the community.
