Kuwait, Philippines eye closer cooperation on labor recruitment

Marzouq Al-Otaibi, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), met with Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Meshari Al-Nibar, to review the recent developments concerning the recruitment of Filipino workers and to discuss avenues for strengthening cooperation between the two parties.
During the meeting, Al-Otaibi highlighted PAM’s continued efforts to streamline procedures and implement effective strategies to facilitate the employment of Filipino workers in Kuwait, according to Al-Anba daily.
He underscored the protections and benefits afforded to workers under Kuwaiti labor law and reaffirmed the Authority’s dedication to upholding the rights of expatriate workers.
Al-Otaibi also noted that Kuwait’s labor market remains attractive to skilled professionals across various in-demand sectors, and emphasized that PAM’s staff are fully committed to working in partnership with all government agencies to advance the country’s developmental and humanitarian goals.
