The 22nd Shangri-La Dialogue Asian Security Summit opened today, Friday, in Singapore with the participation of Kuwait’s Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Sabah.
The summit brings together defense ministers, heads of state and government, military leaders, and security experts from 47 countries, reports Al-Rai daily.
The first day featured a series of closed-door meetings between key leaders and defense ministers, followed by a ministerial reception.
The French President Emmanuel Macron delivered the keynote speech, becoming the first European leader to do so at this prominent annual security forum.
The summit, which runs until Sunday, serves as a platform for bilateral and multilateral talks focused on enhancing military cooperation, launching joint training programs, and strengthening regional peacekeeping efforts.
