Kuwait, Oman in security cooperation talks amid regional challenges

Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef met on Monday with Omani Interior Minister Hamoud Al-Busaidi to discuss strengthening cooperation and coordination in addressing current security challenges facing the region.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the two officials during Al-Busaidi’s visit held discussions focused on enhancing the security partnership between Kuwait and Oman, while also exploring ways to confront regional and international security threats, reports Al-Rai daily.
The talks also covered several issues of mutual interest between the two nations and their peoples.
At the conclusion of his official visit, Minister Al-Busaidi expressed his best wishes for Kuwait’s continued progress, prosperity, and the further development of bilateral ties.
The meeting followed an official reception earlier in the day, during which Sheikh Al-Yousef welcomed the Omani minister and his delegation.
The reception was attended by the Ambassador of Oman to Kuwait, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharousi, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Major General Ali Al-Adwani, and several senior security officials.
