Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) was honored with the Environmental Protection Award at both regional and international levels during a ceremony held in Dubai on Wednesday, under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
Acting CEO Sheikh Khaled Ahmed Al-Malik Al-Sabah said the award reflects KOTC’s ongoing commitment to environmental protection and adherence to the highest standards in the maritime transport sector.
He highlighted the company’s efforts to operate a modern, sustainable fleet managed by highly trained national personnel, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Sheikh Khaled added that the recognition underscores KOTC’s continuous success in improving fleet performance, surpassing many international competitors, and achieving excellence in maritime operations and sustainability practices.
During the same ceremony, Captain Yousef Al-Saqer, Executive Vice President of Fleet Operations at KOTC, received the “Editor’s Choice Award for Excellence” for his distinguished contributions to the regional maritime transport industry.
Captain Al-Saqer, a seasoned leader in tanker management and maritime safety, expressed pride in the award, crediting the achievement to the collective efforts of KOTC employees.
