Kuwait, Nepal seek to boost aviation ties as passenger numbers surge

Chairman of the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA), Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, met on Tuesday with Nepal’s Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Gana Shyam Lamsal, to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation in civil aviation between the two countries.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Sheikh Hamoud noted that discussions focused on strengthening air connectivity between Kuwait and Nepal to support mutual interests, streamline passenger travel, and boost coordination between their respective civil aviation authorities

He highlighted the importance of updating the existing flight agreement, especially as the Nepalese community in Kuwait has doubled from 80,000 to 160,000. Additionally, there has been a notable increase in the number of Kuwaiti tourists visiting Nepal over the past year.
Sheikh Hamoud emphasized that the next stage calls for increasing the number of flights between the two countries to meet airline demands and keep pace with developments in Kuwait’s air transport market.
