Kuwait National Day celebration a tapestry of heritage, unity and pride

Kuwait’s National and Liberation Day celebration showcased its resilience, unity, and rich heritage. Dignitaries praised the nation’s perseverance and global contributions, while the event featured cultural performances, heritage competitions, and reflections on progress.

Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Badr described National and Liberation Day as a testament to Kuwait’s unity, strength, and enduring progress.

Polina Dlamini, Head of International Women’s Group, praised Kuwait as a global beacon of perseverance, unity, and development.

 

Her Excellency Sheikha Hanouf Al-Badr, the Honorary President of the Kuwaiti Women’s Committee, emphasized that National Day and Liberation Day are historic occasions that reflect the resilience, unity, and unwavering spirit of the nation.

In her speech at a ceremony hosted by the International Women’s Commission to celebrate Kuwait’s National Holidays, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel with diplomatic and public participation, Her Excellency Sheikha Hanouf Al-Badr stated, “As we gather, we reflect on our nation’s journey, honor the sacrifices of those who came before us, and renew our commitment to progress, peace, and prosperity.”

Kuwait has long been a beacon of diplomacy and cooperation, continually fostering and strengthening its ties with friendly and brotherly nations.

For her part, the wife of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Eswatini and Head of the International Women’s Group, Polina Dlamini, stated that the celebration of Kuwait’s national holidays reflects the nation’s resilience and unity.

Dlamini highlighted that this special day honors Kuwait’s rich history while looking ahead to a future of progress and prosperity. Emphasizing Kuwait’s enduring strength and determination; she praised its reputation as a nation of resilience and steadfastness.

Furthermore, Dlamini stated that Kuwait has demonstrated to the world the power of perseverance and unity, establishing itself as a beacon of economic and cultural development on the global stage.

The ceremony featured a vibrant showcase of Kuwait’s rich heritage, including the traditional art of Al-Ardha (the Show), the most renowned folk art in the Arabian Gulf region, and the art of Al-Samri (Samaritan), an integral part of Kuwait’s musical legacy.

Additionally, the event hosted engaging competitions, such as a quiz on Kuwait’s landmarks, a challenge for those possessing multiple Kuwaiti fils coins, and a heritage competition.
