Kuwait Municipality’s new ‘inspection team’ ensures accurate property certificates

The municipality will contact the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy to ensure that the electrical loads of the properties in violation are increased

  • Kuwait Municipality’s inspection team will work to reconcile the certificates with real-world conditions and the reports and images stored in the current electronic system.

According to official sources at the Kuwait Municipality, senior management is currently establishing an ‘inspection team’ to verify the accuracy of property description certificates upon issuance. The team will work to reconcile these certificates with real-world conditions and the reports and images stored in the current electronic system.

Sources informed Al-Rai newspaper that the municipality will contact the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy to ensure that the electrical loads of the properties in violation are increased. This step serves as confirmation and proof of the case before any legal action is taken, including halting the issuance of description certificates for these properties.

Sources explain that once electricity is connected to any property, the municipality is prohibited from entering it except with permission from the Public Prosecution, especially since some individuals may tamper with the property’s plans after the electricity is connected. Therefore, reorganizing the issuance of description certificates has become an important matter.

The sources confirm that Engineer Saud Al-Dabbous, the Director-General of the Municipality, emphasized during his meeting with the Supreme Committee of the Municipality the necessity of implementing the law fully and making the right decisions without hesitation.
