Kuwait Municipality plans to clear ‘Jahra’ encroachments in 93 days

The plan to address violations and encroachments on state property in the Governorate encompasses six specific sites and adheres to a detailed timetable.

The Kuwait Municipality has crafted a 93-day plan to address violations and encroachments on state property in the Jahra Governorate. The plan encompasses six specific sites and adheres to a detailed timetable.

Abdullah Al- Daihani, acting director of the Violations Removal Department in the Jahra Governorate Municipality branch, said the department has identified serious violations, encroachments, and exploitation of state lands and property during tours of the governorate’s areas.

He has sent a letter to the director of the governorate branch requesting that he contact the municipality’s services department to provide the necessary mechanisms to begin launching a campaign to remove encroachments in six locations within the governorate, which are: Amghara Forest, Al-Salmi, Abdali, Al-Mutlaa Residential Area, Boubyan Waterfront, Kabd and Bur Al-Sulaibiya.

Al-Daihani pointed out that the Environment and Agriculture Commissions, in addition to the Ministry of Interior, have been contacted to be present throughout the campaign period, which extends for 93 days, starting today, Tuesday, and continuing until July 31.

He confirmed that there is four-way coordination between the Violations Removal Department, the Head of the Sector for the Affairs of the Capital and Jahra Governorates, Engineer Thamer Al-Mutairi, the Director of the Cleaning Department in the branch, and the Head of the Street Vendors Department.

  1.  Al-Haraj – Amghara (from April 30 to May 14)
  2. Al-Salmi (from May 15 to May 29)
  3. Abdali (from May 30 to June 7)
  4. Al-Mutlaa Residential (from June 9 to June 29)
  5. Boubyan Waterfront (from June 30 to July 11)
  6. Kabd and Bur Al-Sulaibiya (from July 14 to July 31)
