Kuwait Municipality launches comprehensive cleaning campaign ahead of ‘Gulf 26’

The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality announced the launch of a major cleaning campaign, carried out by field teams from the Cleaning and Road Occupation Departments across the six governorates, in preparation for Kuwait’s hosting of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Championship ‘Gulf 26’.

The Municipality announced in a statement on Monday that the cleaning campaign, which began today in the area surrounding the Jumeirah Hotel in the Messilah area, will run for three weeks.

The campaign will focus on cleaning the main and internal streets, as well as the squares in front of hotels designated as headquarters for the sports delegations participating in ‘Gulf 26’.

The Municipality stated that the cleaning efforts include distributing containers of various sizes at targeted locations, emphasizing that the campaign aims to achieve full readiness ahead of the tournament’s official opening.

Furthermore, the Municipality added that the cleaning campaign will cover nine sports club stadiums designated for the training of participating teams, as well as the surrounding areas.

These clubs include Khaitan, Al-Shabab, Al-Sahel, Yarmouk, Salmiya, Al-Arabi, Al-Qadisiyah, Kuwait, and Kazma.
