Kuwait Municipality enforces strict fines for illegal furniture dumping

The Kuwait Municipality warns property owners against dumping furniture, debris, or any other materials in front of their properties. Violators will be subject to fines in accordance with the Municipality Law.

The Kuwait Municipality is cracking down on property owners who dump furniture, debris, or any other materials in front of their properties. In a press release, the Municipality warned that violators will be subject to fines in accordance with the Municipality Law.

The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality cited recent efforts by the inspection team of the Public Cleaning and Road Occupancy Department in the Ahmadi Governorate. According to sources at Al-Rai newspaper, the team removed a significant amount of furniture, totaling 64 tons, from the governorate in just a few days.

This surge in discarded materials prompted the department to affirm that field teams across all governorates are conducting intensive inspection campaigns to ensure proper cleaning.

The Municipality also highlighted its recent success in removing a substantial amount of debris and waste – estimated at 568 tons – from in front of properties in various investment and commercial areas. This accomplishment, achieved within two days, represents a fourfold increase over the normal rate.
