Kuwait mobilizes volunteers and agencies to protect marine environment
People urged to keep beaches clean as part of nationwide eco initiative
In a unified effort to protect Kuwait’s marine environment and promote eco-conscious behavior, several government agencies and volunteer teams have joined forces in the national campaign “Our Beaches Are Beautiful.” The initiative focuses on cleaning island beaches, preserving marine ecosystems, and educating the public on the importance of proper waste disposal.
Launched three weeks ago by the Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality, the campaign aims to raise awareness and foster community involvement in maintaining the cleanliness and natural beauty of Kuwait’s island beaches.
Through cleanup efforts and environmental education, organizers hope to instill a culture of responsibility among beachgoers—encouraging them to dispose of waste only in designated areas.
The initiative highlights the vital role of public participation in protecting Kuwait’s fragile coastal environments, ensuring they remain pristine for future generations.
