Kuwait Legal Forum fostering legal excellence and national development
Counselor Faisal Al-Gharib, Minister of Justice and Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, lauded the third Kuwait Legal Forum, highlighting its alignment with the goals of the “Kuwait 2035” vision to establish Kuwait as a regional financial and commercial hub.
The forum, organized by the Kuwait International College of Law, underscores the crucial role of legal education in shaping the nation’s future, reports Al-Jarida daily.
Minister Al-Gharib emphasized the significance of the forum, which addresses key legal aspects relevant to national institutions and the broader judicial sector. He commended the college’s efforts in providing modern and comprehensive legal education, facilitated by distinguished legal scholars and practitioners.
The forum, attended by various stakeholders including Dr. Badr Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the College’s Board of Trustees, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Maqate’ and Dr. Faisal Al-Kandari, President and Dean of the college respectively, serves as a platform for exchanging academic research, scientific studies, and practical applications. Representatives from the British Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency also participated, recognizing the college’s academic accreditation renewal.
Al-Gharib emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening partnerships between public agencies and educational institutions, aiming to foster national development and achieve Kuwait’s vision for the future.
Dr. Al-Maqate’ highlighted the forum’s comprehensive nature, designed to benefit all stakeholders in the legal field, including those in executive, judicial, and legislative roles, as well as legal practitioners committed to promoting justice in Kuwait. He expressed hope that the forum would expand its reach to become a Gulf-wide event in the future.
