Kuwait launches second phase of ‘Employee Achievement Record’

The Civil Service Commission has launched the second phase of the “Employee Achievement Record” project, a strategic initiative to improve employee career development and enhancing institutional governance across government agencies.
In a statement issued today, the CSC announced it had convened a coordination meeting with several government entities to initiate this new phase.
The project, Al-Rai daily reports, introduces a structured mechanism to document and assess the job responsibilities performed by public sector employees, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of each entity’s organizational units.
Participating government bodies in this phase include the ministries of Commerce and Industry, Information, Oil, and Defense, as well as the Public Authority for Minors Affairs. The Bureau stressed the importance of inter-agency cooperation to successfully implement the project and guarantee that each employee has the opportunity to officially record their efforts and accomplishments.
A key component of the initiative is the creation of a personal electronic file for every employee, in which job duties and achievements are systematically documented. This file will serve as a comprehensive record that supports fair and transparent human resources practices, including:
- Prioritizing outstanding employees for recognition, rewards, and training opportunities.
- Facilitating nominations for supervisory and leadership positions based on merit and performance.
- Strengthening transparency and accountability within public institutions.
The CSC emphasized that the project not only ensures employees’ rights but also contributes to broader governance reforms by establishing clearer performance benchmarks and aligning individual efforts with institutional objectives.
