Kuwait launches new ‘Sahel’ service for domestic driver visas
The Human Resources and Information Technology Sector at Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Residence Affairs Sector, announced the launch of a new electronic service through the unified government application Sahel for issuing visas for new domestic drivers.
In a press statement, the ministry said the new digital service allows citizens to complete the issuance of domestic driver visas electronically without the need to visit Citizen Service Centers, as part of ongoing efforts to simplify procedures and accelerate government transactions.
The initiative comes within Kuwait’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at enhancing electronic services, reducing paperwork and improving the efficiency of public service delivery.
