Kuwait launches new news channel for reliable, accurate information

On Sunday, Kuwait’s Ministry of Information launched Al-Akhbar, a new news channel, aiming to be a cornerstone of Kuwaiti media and a trusted source of reliable news and accurate information, according to a media official.
Dr. Bader Al-Enezi, Assistant Undersecretary for News and Political Programs, told KUNA that the channel aims to actively engage with local, regional, and international issues in line with the state’s policies.
Dr. Al-Enezi explained that the news channel is an official source for local news, including state decisions and positions, and serves as a connection point between nationals and officials. He commented that this is responsible media, which does not seek controversy but aims for objectivity and credibility.
The channel is currently broadcasting three main news programs on political, economic, cultural, and sports topics, as well as about 15 additional programs, documentaries, and talk shows.
Dr. Al-Enezi praised the team working for the channel, highlighting their capabilities and efficiency, especially since the channel’s launch occurred in record time.
He also commended the support of minister Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, along with other officials and employees, for their assistance and cooperation.
