Kuwait launches automated cameras to crack down on seatbelt and phone violations

Under the directives of Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, the Ministry of Interior has begun installing automated surveillance cameras to monitor seatbelt violations and the use of handheld phones while driving. This initiative, reported by Al Jarida newspaper, aims to reduce traffic accidents and enhance road safety by utilizing artificial intelligence and modern technology.
