Kuwait, Jordan sign six new agreements during 5th Joint Committee session

The fifth session of the Kuwaiti-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee convened in Kuwait on Wednesday, culminating in the signing of six cooperation agreements, including memoranda of understanding and executive programs. These agreements aim to broaden bilateral collaboration and reinforce the shared commitment to advancing mutual interests across various sectors.

The Kuwaiti delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya, while the Jordanian delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, reports Al-Rai daily.

At the opening of the session, Al-Yahya conveyed greetings from the leadership, government, and people of Kuwait to Jordan, emphasizing the deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties between the two nations. The committee reviewed key areas of bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic, investment, cultural, and tourism sectors, and explored ways to strengthen and expand collaboration across various fields.

The meeting also addressed regional and international developments, including the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, and focused on enhancing joint coordination to tackle shared challenges in the region.

The session reflected a strong and unified desire from both nations to deepen their strategic partnership and elevate cooperation to new levels, solidifying their long-standing relationship.
