Kuwait invites UAE and Oman to key GCC Summit in December
Abdullah Al-Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered a message from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the UAE President and Sultan of Oman, inviting them to the summit in Kuwait on December 1.
• Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya received a message from Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, emphasizing strong relationsbetween Kuwait and Qatar and ways to strengthen them.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya delivered a written message from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
The message included an invitation to attend the Supreme Council meeting of GCC leaders, hosted by Kuwait on December 1, and highlighted the strong historical ties and brotherly relations between the two nations and their peoples, Al Rai newspaper reported.
This was highlighted during the meeting with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, as part of his visit to Abu Dhabi.
On Sunday, Al-Yahya traveled from Abu Dhabi to the Sultanate of Oman to deliver a written message from His Highness the Amir to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman. The message included an invitation to attend the Gulf Summit and emphasized the strong historical ties and brotherly relations uniting the two countries and their peoples.
Earlier on Sunday morning, before leaving the country, the Foreign Minister received a written message from Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. The message focused on the strong brotherly relations between Kuwait and Qatar and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields.
According to a press statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the message was delivered during a meeting between minister Al-Yahya and the Ambassador of Qatar to Kuwait, Ali bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, at the ministry’s General Office.
