Global inventors showcase breakthroughs in Kuwait’s premier innovation platform

The State of Kuwait continues to place high importance on innovation and scientific research, reflecting the political leadership’s vision to support creative minds and build a knowledge-based future.
This was affirmed by Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabai, representative of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, during the opening of the 16th edition of the International Invention Exhibition in the Middle East.

Organized by the Kuwaiti Scientific Club under the patronage of the Crown Prince, the exhibition runs until next Wednesday and features 213 inventors from across the globe. Minister Al-Tabtabaei described the event as a global platform that nurtures creativity, stimulates innovation, and fosters inventions capable of addressing rapid global transformations.
He added that Kuwait’s hosting of the exhibition reinforces its position as a regional center for innovation and a comprehensive hub for scientific initiatives, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Minister also noted that the steady increase in participation over the years demonstrates the international community’s confidence in Kuwait as a fertile ground for creativity.
He highlighted that the exhibition ranks first in the Middle East and second worldwide, following the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, reflecting both the quality of organization and the significance of its scientific content.

Expressing gratitude to supporting institutions, Minister Al-Tabtabaei praised the efforts of the Kuwait Scientific Club and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, which have been pivotal in sponsoring inventors and fostering a culture of innovation.
Talal Al-Kharafi, Chairman of the Scientific Club and Supreme Committee of the Exhibition, emphasized that the participation of over 30 Arab and international countries in this 16th edition underscores the political leadership’s strong support for inventors and innovators.
Dr. Bassam Al-Faili, CEO of the Corporate Development Sector at the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, noted the Foundation’s dedication to stimulating innovative solutions through science and technology, while Rehab Ezz El-Din, Director of the Economic Relations Department at the League of Arab States, highlighted the League’s contribution with special awards and expressed plans to sign a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation with the Kuwaiti Scientific Club.
The exhibition serves as a vital platform for Arab youth, promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and the digital economy, while reinforcing Kuwait’s role as a regional incubator of knowledge, creativity, and scientific excellence.
