Kuwait hails EU move to lift sanctions on Syria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the European Union’s decision to lift economic sanctions on the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, describing it as a significant step toward rebuilding Syria’s future and achieving the aspirations of its people for development and prosperity.

In an official statement, the ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s steadfast stance in support of Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. It also emphasized the importance of international solidarity in strengthening humanitarian and developmental efforts aimed at easing the suffering of the Syrian people, reports Al-Rai daily.
