Kuwait Football Association’s new leadership promises solutions, not revenge
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef, President of the Kuwait Football Association, expressed his openness to proposals that help solve the problems faced by clubs, particularly financial issues and player contracts.
• Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef, President of the Kuwait Football Association, pointed out that the general meeting is considered a ‘reunion,’ as he has worked in the union for over 35 years, and for the first time, all members attended, with none left behind as in the past.
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef, President of the Kuwait Football Association, affirmed that he and the board members are committed to addressing the issues faced by the clubs, emphasizing that the new council is focused on progress, not retribution, and is open to all, as reported by Al Rai newspaper.
Al-Yousef pointed out that this general meeting is considered a ‘reunion,’ as he has worked in the union for over 35 years, and for the first time, all members attended, with none left behind as in the past. “This is good news,” he said.
In statements made after his approval and that of the Board of Directors by the General Assembly of the association, Al-Yousef expressed his openness to proposals that help solve the problems faced by clubs, particularly financial issues and player contracts. He also noted that the association would review any provisions of the Articles of Association that may need amendment.
He added, “My fellow members and I understand the challenges ahead and the limited time. A few days separate us from the World Cup qualifiers and the Gulf Cup, sponsored by His Highness the Amir Sheikh MeshalAl-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. We must all cooperate to ensure the success of (Khaleeji Zain 26), in collaboration with the more than 2,600 volunteers.”
Al-Yousef expressed his thanks and appreciation to the General Assembly of the association for approving the new Board of Directors under his presidency.
The Malki Council includes Osama Hussein, Mubarak Abdulaziz (Vice Presidents), Ayman Al-Husseini, FahadAl-Hamlan, Dr. Ahmed Ajab, and Hanan Al-Hardan as members.
