Kuwait faces scorching weekend with hot days and warm nights

On Friday, maximum temperatures in the country are expected to reach between 43 and 45°C, while nighttime minimums will range from 27 to 29°C.

• Thursday night will be hot to moderate, with northwesterly to variable winds at 8 to 35 kilometers per hour. Scattered clouds are expected, and minimum temperatures will range between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department forecasts generally hot weather during the day and warm to hot conditions at night over the weekend.

Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Kuwait is currently under the influence of an extension of the Indian seasonal low, accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly winds, which may occasionally strengthen and cause dust storms, particularly in desert areas, Al Jarida newspaper reported.

Al-Ali added that Thursday’s weather will be hot, with northwesterly to northerly winds blowing light to moderate at speeds ranging from 12 to 38 kilometers per hour. Some scattered clouds are expected, while maximum temperatures will range between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves between 2 and 5 feet.

He stated that Thursday night will be hot to moderate, with northwesterly to variable winds at 8 to 35 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected between 43 and 45 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves occasionally rising between 2 and 6 feet.

Friday night will see hot to moderate weather, with northwesterly winds at 12 to 38 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius, with the sea remaining light to moderate, and waves between 2 and 5 feet.

Looking ahead to Saturday, Al-Ali said it will be hot, with northwesterly winds blowing light to moderate, sometimes active, between 15 and 50 kilometers per hour, with a chance of dust. Maximum temperatures will range from 42 to 44 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves occasionally rising between 2 and 6 feet.

Saturday night will be hot to moderate, with northwesterly winds at 10 to 32 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures will range between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius, while the sea will remain light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet.
