Kuwait faces scorching days and sweltering nights on weekend

The Meteorological Department announced that the country is experiencing an extension of the Indian monsoon depression, bringing a very hot air mass with light to moderate northwesterly winds. According to Al Rai newspaper, the weather will be very hot during the day and hot to very hot at night over the weekend.

Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, the director of the department, told the Kuwait News Agency that the weather on Thursday will be very hot, with northwesterly to variable winds, light to moderate in speed, between eight and 35 kilometers per hour, and some high clouds will appear.

The expected maximum temperatures will range between 48 and 50 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves between one and three feet.

Al-Qarawi said that the weather tonight will be hot, with northwesterly to variable winds, light to moderate in speed, between eight and 32 kilometers per hour. The expected minimum temperature will be between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves between 1 and 3 feet.

He explained that the weather on Friday will be very hot, with light to moderate northwesterly winds, sometimes active, between 12 and 40 kilometers per hour. Al-Qarawi said that the weather on Saturday will be very hot, with light to moderate northwesterly winds, between 12 and 38 kilometers per hour, and the expected maximum temperatures will be between 48 and 50 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves between two and five feet.

He pointed out that the weather on Saturday night will be hot, with northwesterly winds, light to moderate in speed, sometimes active in coastal areas, between ten and fourty kilometers per hour. The expected minimum temperature will be between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate in waves, sometimes rising between two and six feet.
