Kuwait expands global representation with new envoys and consular appointments

A series of decrees issued on Sunday approved new diplomatic appointments, including 11 ambassadors and consuls, as part of a broader reshuffle in Kuwait’s foreign service.

The decrees, published in the official gazette Kuwait Alyawm, named Yousef Ahmed Abdul Samad as Ambassador to Switzerland, Nawaf Fahad Al-Saeed as Ambassador to Brunei, Saleh Mubarak Al-Sarawi as Ambassador to Sri Lanka, and Nawaf Dhaidan Boushaiba as Ambassador to Algeria.

Abdullah Turki Al-Turki was appointed Ambassador to Cyprus, Mohsen Obaid Al-Ajmi to Albania, and Mohammed Marzouq Al-Shabou to Turkey, reports Al-Rai daily.

At the consular level, Salem Hamad Al-Jiran was named Consul-General in Los Angeles in the United States, Khaled Bader Al-Khalifa in Istanbul, Abdullah Ahmed Al-Salem in Guangzhou, China, and Abdul Aziz Ammash Al-Ajmi in Basra, Iraq.

A separate decree also approved the transfer of Ambassador Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al-Adwani from his post in Turkey to the general office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
