Kuwait engages in global dialogue on greener shipping in Jeddah

The agenda of the second Maritime Industry Sustainability 2025 Conference in Jeddah featured dialogue sessions and workshops focusing on digitization, cybersecurity, and the role of human capital in shaping the future of the maritime sector.
The Kuwait Ports Authority took part in the second Maritime Industry Sustainability 2025 Conference in Jeddah, Al Rai daily reported.
Engineer Fahad Al-Bous, the Assistant Director General and head of the delegation, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the participation was in response to an invitation from Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Transport.
Al-Bous said the conference addressed the present and future importance of the maritime industry, along with technologies aimed at improving maritime safety and efficiency, with the participation of specialized companies and experts in the field.
The Ports Authority delegation included, in addition to Al-Bous as head of the delegation, Hussein Al-Subaie from the Handling, Security and Safety Department.
The conference discussed the future of the maritime industry, ways to strengthen sustainability in the sector, and the adoption of advanced technical and financial solutions to achieve greater efficiency.
Its agenda also featured dialogue sessions and workshops focusing on digitization, cybersecurity, and the role of human capital in shaping the future of the maritime sector.
