Kuwait, Egypt to form technical committee to supply skilled labor

Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, Marzouq Daif Allah Al-Otaibi, received Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Osama Shaltout, and his accompanying delegation to discuss the formation of a specialized technical committee focused on labor coordination between the two countries.

The planned committee — originating from the Egyptian Ministry of Labor — will work closely with relevant Kuwaiti authorities to identify the needs of the local labor market, ensure the supply of qualified and skilled Egyptian workers, maintain adherence to Kuwaiti labor laws and regulations and uphold quality and efficiency in labor recruitment, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The initiative reflects a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing labor market balance, and supporting Kuwait’s development goals through the employment of trained manpower.

The Public Authority for Manpower welcomed the move, emphasizing the importance of importing skilled labor to improve the work environment and meet sectoral demands across the country. Both parties agreed to maintain ongoing coordination and communication to ensure the success and sustainability of the partnership.

Ambassador Shaltout expressed his appreciation for the Authority’s continued efforts in improving labor services and praised Kuwait’s commitment to fostering strong and mutually beneficial relations with Egypt.
