Kuwait displays example of unity, successful governance during first ten days of Muharram
Kuwait, one nation, one heart, one destiny — united under its flag, led by wisdom, and driven by innovation.

Under the leadership of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, Kuwait, facilitated the holding of Ashura councils within schools, in coordination with local Hussainiyas. This innovative solution respected the sanctity of the occasion while ensuring public safety and national unity.
In an unprecedented and sophisticated national initiative, the Kuwaiti government operated as one integrated body. The Cabinet, the ministries of Interior, Defense, Health, and Education, the National Guard, the Kuwait Fire Force, and other state institutions worked in seamless coordination. Their preparedness and cooperation reflected a deep understanding that facing challenges requires bold thinking, not fear or stagnation.
The decision to integrate tradition with modern administrative strategy turned a potentially sensitive religious occasion into a model of civic cooperation. The outcome was a national success story — a reflection of Kuwaiti society’s deep awareness, patriotism, and responsibility.
This year’s Ashura season wasn’t just a religious event — it was a test of leadership, and Kuwait passed it with distinction. The approach set a new precedent for balancing cultural tradition with state interests, ensuring that unity and security prevail.
When nations are tested, true character emerges. In times of difficulty, strong will and visionary leadership become the bridge to safety — and Kuwait has proven just that. During the first ten days of Muharram, amidst turbulent regional dynamics and looming threats of foreign interference, Kuwait displayed a remarkable example of unity, innovation, and successful governance.
Despite fears of political instability and attempts by disruptive elements to sow discord, the Ashura season passed peacefully and safely, marked by calm, discipline, and national cohesion. This exceptional outcome was not a coincidence, but the result of a deliberate and bold leadership strategy that embraced change and thought.
Gratitude is due to the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince, whose guidance continues to steer the nation through challenging times. Thanks, are also owed to the government, security institutions, health workers, educators, and — most importantly — the Kuwaiti people and Hussainiyas who cooperated with exceptional understanding and love for their country.
In a region where sectarian divisions often flare, Kuwait emerged as a shining example of how dialogue, innovation, and shared national values can overcome threats and create success.
This is Kuwait: one nation, one heart, one destiny—united under its flag, led by wisdom, and driven by innovation.
