Kuwait Dental Association to hold second national conference in November

The Chairman of the Kuwait Dental Association, Dr. Saad Al-Shammari, announced on Friday that Kuwait will host the Association’s second national conference on November 20, highlighting its unique feature of having all lecturers drawn exclusively from Kuwait.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 32nd Beirut International Dental Conference, Al-Shammari described the event as a “significant boost” to the country’s scientific cadres. He also revealed that the Association will launch a new scientific journal aimed at publishing the work of Kuwaiti doctors both at home and abroad, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Shammari, who also serves as Assistant Secretary-General for Organizational Affairs in the Gulf States at the Arab Dental Federation, underscored the importance of medical conferences in expanding scientific expertise, keeping doctors abreast of global advances, and offering exposure to innovative technologies and equipment.

He said the Kuwait Dental Association works across three main pillars — social, professional, and educational — and that participation in conferences like Beirut’s falls within the educational framework, helping strengthen doctors’ skills and knowledge.

“We in Kuwait are committed to providing everything that contributes to the development and training of our doctors, enriching their capabilities, and raising their academic standards,” he said. “This, in turn, will be reflected in the quality of medical services provided to patients.”

The Beirut event, attended by distinguished lecturers and medical technology exhibitors, provided Kuwaiti delegates with opportunities to exchange theoretical and practical expertise while gaining insights into the latest advances in dentistry.
