Kuwait Denies Radiation Leak Rumors, Confirms Normal Levels

Reports circulating on social media about a possible radiation leak in the country are false, confirming that radiation levels in the atmosphere and territorial waters remain within normal limits.

The spokesperson for Kuwait’s National Guard, Brigadier General Dr. Jadaan Fadel, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that reports circulating on social media about a possible radiation leak in the country are false, confirming that radiation levels in the atmosphere and territorial waters remain within normal limits.

He added that specialized teams are continuously monitoring the situation through systems operating around the clock with full efficiency.

In a separate statement, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation told KUNA it is coordinating with the General Environment Authority to monitor air quality around the refinery, confirming that no negative environmental impacts have been recorded so far following the attack.

The corporation stressed its full commitment to the highest safety and security standards, noting that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure uninterrupted operations and the protection of lives and property.
