Kuwait declares Sept 4 public holiday

. . . on the occasion of Prophet’s birthday

The Council of Ministers has declared Thursday, September 4, 2025, an official holiday for all ministries, government agencies, public bodies, and institutions to mark the Prophet’s (PBUH) birthday for the year 1447 AH.

The decision was made during the weekly Cabinet meeting today, chaired by Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef. Official work will resume on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

The authorities with essential operations or special work requirements will determine their own holiday schedules in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the public interest is maintained.
