Kuwait customs uncover meth stash concealed in feed shipment

The officers of the General Administration of Customs inspected the entire shipment, which weighed 216 tons of animal feed, and seized about 10.7 kilograms of the drug

  • The General Administration of Customs stressed it will continue to follow directives from senior leadership to intensify efforts against smuggling attempts and safeguard the Kuwait’s security and stability.

The General Administration of Customs said its inspectors intercepted an attempt to smuggle methamphetamine concealed in feed bags on a vessel arriving from Iran through Doha Port, Al Rai newspaper reported.

Customs officers inspected the entire shipment, which weighed 216 tons of animal feed, and seized about 10.7 kilograms of the drug. No other banned items were found on board.

Authorities seized the vessel and took the necessary legal steps. The case and confiscated items were referred to the competent authorities.

Customs stressed it will continue to follow directives from senior leadership to intensify efforts against smuggling attempts and safeguard the country’s security and stability.
