Kuwait Crown Prince visits military sites, commends ‘heroic’ efforts

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al- Hamad Al-Sabah visited a number of military sites on Saturday, accompanied by Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan.

During the visit, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

According to a Diwan statement, His Highness the Crown Prince lauded the “heroic and exceptional” role of all military and security bodies involved in maintaining a high state of readiness amidst the rapid and critical developments currently unfolding in the region.

 

His Highness also lauded solidarity and strong condemnation voiced by the international community of the heinous attacks by the Iranian side that targeted the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as His Highness highly valued the historic adoption of the Gulf resolution in the United Nations Security Council with the support of 136 countries, which demonstrates the just of the Gulf position and the strength of international solidarity with it. His Highness indicated that coordination with the brothers in the GCC countries is ongoing and continuous, while stressing at the same time the need to take external threats seriously, and to maintain the highest levels of readiness and vigilance to deal with all scenarios in light of a highly complex regional situation.

Concluding his visit, His Highness prayed to Almighty Allah for the continued security, safety, and prosperity of the State of Kuwait under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Supreme Comamnder of the Armed Forces, as well as to bestow His mercy upon Kuwait’s righteous martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation, and a speedy recovery for the injured.

His Highness the Crown Prince was accompanied during the visit by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and Head of the Crown Prince’s Diwan, Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. – Kuna
