Kuwait Cricket National Team Set to Compete in ICC World Cup Challenge League A in Jersey

Kuwait Cricket has officially announced its national squad travelling to Jersey for the ICC World Cup Challenge League A. Heading into this leg of the tournament, Kuwait currently sit third on the points standings, behind hosts Jersey and Papua New Guinea, after registering three wins from their first five matches.

The tournament will see Kuwait face Jersey, Kenya, Qatar, Papua New Guinea, and Denmark in what promises to be a highly competitive round of fixtures.

The experienced Mohamed Aslam (Captain) will lead the squad, alongside the following players:

These players will look to continue Kuwait’s momentum following a strong outing in the previous round held in Kenya.

The travelling team management includes Head Coach Qasim Ali, Team Manager Saud Qamar, Assistant Coach Ismail Vaddake, Video Analyst Sarvanan Mohandas, and Physiotherapist Benjamin George.

Kuwait Cricket remains committed to its high-performance pathway and is confident that the squad is well-prepared to showcase strong performances on the global stage. The team departs for Jersey with determination and national pride, aiming to make a significant impact in the Challenge League A campaign.

Notably, only the top two teams from the Challenge League will progress further into the next qualifying stage — keeping alive their hopes of securing a coveted spot at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.
