Emad Al Jassam, Kuwait Cricket Club (KCC) Board General Secretary, and Sajid Ashraf, Director General, made a strong impression at the recently concluded ICC Asia Conference in Hong Kong, China.

The dynamic event brought together 50 delegates from the ICC Asia family, including representatives from test-playing nations like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The event was hosted by Hong Kong Cricket Chairman Mr. Burji Shroff at the prestigious Hong Kong Cricket Club and was led by Mr. Aminul Islam, ICC Development Manager – Asia, alongside Mr. William Glenwright, ICC Global Development Manager.

The conference was also graced by Mr. Mubashir Usmani, ICC Associates Chairperson, and Mr. Mahinda Vallipuram, ICC Director.

A highlight of the event was Mr. Sajid Ashraf’s participation in a high-profile panel discussion alongside representatives from test nations and top associate countries, where he shed light on the key factors behind Kuwait’s remarkable rise to 24th in the ICC T20I rankings—a testament to the nation’s growing cricketing prowess.

Kuwait also played an active role in the Women’s Cricket Panel, engaging in in-depth discussions on the vision, strategic plans, and challenges in developing women’s cricket across Asia. The panel aimed to exchange best practices and help member nations unlock the full potential of female cricketers in the region.

Kuwait Cricket Club extends heartfelt thanks to Hong Kong Cricket for their outstanding hospitality and congratulates them on hosting a highly successful and engaging conference.

With growing recognition on the global stage, Kuwait stands tall as one of the top-performing associate nations. And with the T20 World Cup 2026 on the horizon in India and Sri Lanka, the dream is alive—and the best is yet to come.
