Kuwait coordinates regional positions in talks with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Jordan

As part of Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with brotherly Gulf and Arab states and coordinating positions on regional and international developments, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya on Sunday held a series of telephone conversations with his counterparts in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Jordan.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Al-Yahya spoke with the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during which they reviewed the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed ways to further enhance and develop cooperation across various fields. The talks also covered recent regional and international developments of mutual interest, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Yahya also held a telephone conversation with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, during which the close bilateral ties between the two brotherly nations were reviewed.

The call focused on strengthening cooperation in multiple areas and exchanging views on regional and international issues.

In a separate call, the Kuwaiti foreign minister spoke with the Bahraini Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Zayani, reviewing the strong relations between Kuwait and Bahrain and discussing frameworks for enhancing bilateral cooperation, as well as developments on the regional and global fronts.

Al-Yahya also contacted the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, during which both sides reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to strengthen them, in addition to discussing issues of common concern at the regional and international levels.
