Kuwait condemns Iranian attack on Emirati oil tankers
Kuwait strongly condemned an Iranian attack on two Emirati oil tankers while they were transiting the Strait of Hormuz, which caused the death of a crew member and injuries to others.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the incident violated international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2817, posing a direct threat to maritime security and global energy supplies.
Kuwait reaffirmed its full support for the UAE and its right to take measures to protect its security and resources. It also called for an immediate end to escalation and urged compliance with international laws guaranteeing freedom of navigation and safe passage through vital international waterways to maintain regional stability.
