Kuwait concludes Emergency Exercise (1) on countering weapons of mass destruction

The activities of Emergency Exercise (1) conducted by the Defense Command against Weapons of Mass Destruction, under the patronage of the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraian, concluded this morning.

Participating in the exercise were personnel from the Kuwaiti Army, the National Guard, the Kuwait Fire Force, and the GCC Emergency Management Center at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The drill forms part of joint training programs aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening coordination among participating entities, and raising readiness to deal with chemical, biological and radiological incidents, reports Al-Rai daily.
It also focused on implementing approved procedures in line with the highest international safety standards.

Officials from the participating bodies emphasized the importance of such exercises in reinforcing the national security system and increasing preparedness to confront various challenges and emergency situations.
The exercise was attended by the Commander of the Signal Corps, Major General Engineer Saud Al-Dhafeeri, the Commander of the Defense Command against Weapons of Mass Destruction, Brigadier General Faisal Al-Jabr, the Head of the GCC Emergency Management Center, Brigadier General Dr. Rashid Al-Marri, along with a number of senior officers from the Army, the National Guard and the Kuwait Fire Force.
