Kuwait City’s journey to beautification and development begins

The study for beautifying the city will focus on creating a culturally and entertainment-friendly urban environment while enhancing elements like sidewalks, trees, bus stops, and street lighting.

The Kuwait City Development and Beautification Project aims to enhance city services, establish a design guide, and create a strategic plan for beautification over an area of eleven million square meters, reflecting the capitals civilized aspect.

The Central Agency for Public Tenders is looking to review the proposals submitted for the Kuwait City Development and Beautification Project. In response to a request from the Kuwait Municipality, the agency has invited companies to submit their consulting studies at a meeting scheduled for tomorrow.

During this meeting, the financial envelopes will be opened to reveal the offers for the new project, which has attracted bids from over eight companies. The project is situated in the Capital Governorate, specifically in Kuwait City, extending from the First Ring Road, according to Al Jarida newspaper.

The project, to be discussed at the public tenders meeting with companies, aims to prepare studies for enhancing city services, establishing a design guide, and developing a strategic plan for beautifying Kuwait City.

It will also involve creating executive designs that include, but are not limited to, pedestrian pathways, urban squares, public parks, public facilities, and other proposals submitted by the consultant and approved by the municipality, in coordination with the relevant authorities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, circulars, and decisions.

The development study for beautifying Kuwait City will also focus on creating an urban environment that aligns with cultural and entertainment aspects while comprehensively developing the city’s elements and components, including sidewalk tiles, trees, bus stops, street lighting, and more. Covering an area of elevenmillion square meters, the development of Kuwait City will reflect the capital’s civilized aspect.
