Kuwait-China committee reviews progress on major development projects

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah chaired the 18th meeting of the ministerial committee at Bayan Palace to follow up on the implementation of agreements and memoranda of understanding signed with China. The meeting focused on evaluating the status of key development projects in various strategic sectors.

The Prime Minister emphasized daily supervision and full governmental support to overcome challenges facing the implementation of projects such as the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port, renewable energy systems, housing development, wastewater treatment, and economic zones, reports Al-Rai daily.

Ambassador Samih Jawhar Hayat confirmed that a high-level Chinese delegation specializing in environmental rehabilitation and desertification combat will visit Kuwait mid-month to discuss project implementation, including afforestation and sand encroachment prevention.

The meeting brought together key ministers and senior officials including the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Housing, Public Works, Electricity, and Legal Affairs, highlighting a unified government push to fast-track the execution of bilateral development goals under Kuwait Vision 2035.
