Kuwait celebrates National Day and Liberation Day across the globe

Kuwait’s embassies and consulates around the world marked the 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day with grand celebrations, drawing dignitaries, officials, journalists, and members of civil society. From London to Shanghai, Kuwait’s global missions showcased the nation’s pride, resilience, and enduring friendships.
In London, the embassy’s event welcomed senior officials from the British Ministries of Trade and Defence and members of Parliament. Kuwait’s Ambassador to the UK, H.E. Bader Al-Munaikh, extended warm congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah, the Prime Minister, and the people of Kuwait, reports Al-Anba daily.

Ambassador Al-Munaikh highlighted the historic 250-year ties between Kuwait and the United Kingdom, emphasizing the crucial British support during Kuwait’s 1990 invasion.
He expressed gratitude to British veterans in attendance, acknowledging their role in Kuwait’s liberation. “These celebrations honor the sacrifices of our heroes and reinforce the enduring bonds between our peoples,” he said.

The ambassador also celebrated high-level royal visits, including King Charles III’s visits to Kuwait, the Duke of Edinburgh’s recent trip, and meetings between Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled and Prince William, reflecting deep mutual respect and friendship between the Al Sabah family and the British Royal Family.
In Warsaw, Ambassador H.E. Saad Al-Muhaini praised six decades of Kuwaiti-Polish relations, highlighting opportunities to expand cooperation under Kuwait 2035, the nation’s ambitious development vision.

He described the occasion as “a renewal of the covenant between the past, present, and future,” reinforcing Kuwait’s heritage and global partnerships.
In Yerevan, Ambassador H.E. Mohammed Al-Arifan hosted a vibrant reception attended by Armenia’s Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry, Kevork Mantashyan, who emphasized technology and innovation cooperation.

Ambassador Al-Arifan celebrated Kuwait’s regional and international standing, noting the strong human and diplomatic ties with Armenia.
In Islamabad, Ambassador Nasser Al-Mutairi honored Kuwait’s historical resilience and Pakistan’s unwavering support during the 1990 crisis.

Pakistani Minister of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal congratulated Kuwait’s leadership and people, underscoring the longstanding, trust-based relationship between the two nations.
In Pretoria, Ambassador H.E. Salem Al-Shibli praised Kuwait-South Africa ties in education, health, trade, culture, and human rights. He commended South Africa’s G20 presidency and its support for the Palestinian cause, aligning with Kuwait’s long-standing commitment.

In Rabat, Chargé d’Affaires Saud Al-Mutairi highlighted Kuwait-Morocco fraternal relations under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad and King Mohammed VI, while Moroccan Minister of Economy Nadia Alaoui praised the strong bilateral partnership.
In Moscow, Ambassador H.E. Dr. Rashid Al-Adwani conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Kuwait’s leadership, noting the celebrations as a symbol of national unity, loyalty, and pride.

He emphasized Kuwait-Russia relations as a model of fruitful cooperation across politics, economics, and culture.
In Istanbul, Consul General H.E. Mohammed Al-Sharji celebrated Kuwait-Turkey ties, praising the strong historical, fraternal, and cooperative bonds between the two nations.

Finally, in Shanghai, Consul General H.E. Anas Marafi hosted a reception celebrating Kuwait’s diplomatic achievements in China. He highlighted 55 years of strong bilateral relations, strategic energy and economic partnerships, and ongoing cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, with projects spanning infrastructure, technology, renewable energy, and housing aligned with Kuwait 2035.
Across continents, Kuwait’s National Day and Liberation Day celebrations showcased national pride, international friendship, and a vision for a prosperous future, reaffirming Kuwait’s status as a resilient, forward-looking nation deeply connected with the world.
