Kuwait celebrates 50 years of housing achievements

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) marked its golden jubilee in conjunction with the third Gulf Housing Week, celebrating five decades of commitment to providing housing care for Kuwaiti families.

The event was held in the presence of Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Affairs Abdullatif Al-Mishari and housing ministers from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.

In a statement to KUNA, the Authority affirmed that the jubilee celebration reflects Kuwait’s dedication to organizing regions and building modern cities to ensure suitable housing for citizens. Since its inception, PAHW has played a central role in shaping Kuwait’s urban landscape.

Over the past 50 years, the government has made significant strides in enhancing residential services, resulting in the development of integrated residential cities built with modern and intelligent planning approaches.

The Authority highlighted its growing focus on involving the private sector in shaping the future of real estate development. It aims to adopt sustainable housing models that meet the evolving needs of Kuwaiti families and align with national development ambitions.
