Kuwait busts international drug ring, seizes KD 750,000 in narcotics
The Ministry of Interior dismantled a five-member drug ring smuggling 60 kilograms of marijuana and hashish from Europe through Kuwait International Airport.

The Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of an international criminal network comprising five suspects involved in smuggling drugs into the country. The authorities seized 60 kilograms of marijuana and hashish, with an estimated value of KD 750,000 (approximately $2.4 million), according to KUNA.
The General Department of Public Relations and Security Media at the ministry stated in a press release that, thanks to the vigilance and readiness of the General Department for Combating Narcotics, the International Anti-Narcotics Department successfully dismantled a criminal network of five suspects who specialized in smuggling drugs from a European country into Kuwait through Kuwait International Airport.
The statement noted that two of the suspects worked in the General Department of Customs and exploited their positions to facilitate the smuggling of narcotics. The quantity was seized, and all the suspects, along with the seized items, were referred to the Narcotics Prosecution for necessary legal measures. It emphasized that “the hand of justice will reach anyone who dares to harm the security and stability of the country without exception, to protect the citizens.”
