Kuwait busts half-million-dinar shabu lab, armed ex-citizen arrested in major drug raid

Kuwait’s Criminal Security Sector, specifically the General Department for Drug Control, has dismantled a major narcotics operation in Saad Al-Abdullah, taking into custody, a criminal identified only as T.H.H.A., whose citizenship has been revoked for an unidentified reason.
According to the Ministry of Interior, intensive investigations and field surveillance revealed that the suspect was manufacturing the potent drug “Shabu” using chemicals smuggled illegally into the country.
Under the direct supervision of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Youssef, the security authorities seized from the suspect 30 liters of a primary chemical precursor, 3 liters of Shabu in a semi-finished state, and 6 kilograms of the drug ready for sale.
This is in addition to a big quantity of additional chemicals, manufacturing equipment, two firearms, and live ammunition.
The estimated street value of the seized drugs is believed to be approximately 500,000 dinars. The suspect and confiscated items have been referred to the competent authorities for legal action.
