Kuwait braces for sweltering heatwave in coming days

The weather will be very hot during the day and warm at night, accompanied by active northwesterly winds that may raise dust and reduce horizontal visibility.

Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, Director of the Meteorological Department, explained that Kuwait is impacted by the extension of the Indian monsoon low, which brings a hot air mass to the area, resulting in a significant increase in temperatures. The maximum temperature recorded has reached between 51 and 52 degrees Celsius across most of the country’s land areas.

Al-Qarawi stated in a press release that he expects the temperature to continue rising in the coming days. As a result, the weather will be very hot during the day and warm at night, accompanied by active northwesterly winds that may raise dust and reduce horizontal visibility, particularly in open areas.
