Kuwait braces for severe dust storms, heatwave

Director Dharar Al-Ali warns of hot, dry northwesterly winds reaching speeds over 50–60 km/h, reducing horizontal visibility — especially in open areas.

The Kuwait Meteorology Department said sea waves will rise over six feet due to wind activity, reports Al-Rai daily.

The temperatures will soar between 49°C and 52°C.

Met has forecast very hot daytime conditions and hot nights, with highs nearing 52°C and lows above 32°C; dust expected to settle gradually after Wednesday evening.
